Greetings from IMA Dombivli.
It’s always a proud privilege to represent the branch, more so as the Hon. Secretary!
IMA Dombivli is one of the most active medium sized branches of IMA with an excellent activity graph, regular representation at state and national IMA and with multiple awards in its’ kitty. Taking over the branch secretary’s post once again after having been the branch president in 18 -19 was a big commitment of personal time and energy, but since the ultimate aim was to maintain the glory of the branch and to streamline its working post pandemic, the responsibility was accepted happily!
IMA Dombivli’s work during covid has been largely appreciated and acknowledged by the authorities! The branch has always been on the forefront doing extremely good activities! All the committees under able leadership of respective committee heads continue the tradition of doing great work! Major events like Blood Donation Drive, Doctors’ Day Celebration, Tree Plantation Drive, Diwali Deep Sandhya, IMAFEST 22 (Annual Conference), Scientific CMES, NAVRANG 23 (Annual Cultural Event) along with superb ongoing community service and public awareness activities, which are conducted with equal passion, dedication and lot of fanfare are a great proof of the vibrancy of our branch!
Currently in our 52nd year, with 410 members, we are a vibrant and dynamic branch which has always been on the forefront for doing community service and social activities, for the benefit of community (under the aegis of Dombivli Medical Foundation Trust (registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, Reg No E - 2894 - Thane). Considering it our social responsibility, we, the members of Indian Medical Association Dombivli, will continue to strive hard to work for the betterment of the medical fraternity and the community at large.
The major goal for this year is to connect with the members once again post pandemic, increase membership and build leadership in the branch! We look forward to building a great camaraderie amongst the branch members and seek everyone’s active participation in activities of the branch, so as to be able to make it into a big, united extended family!
Long live IMA!
